He batted .400 several times.

Won two triple crowns.

As a player/manager, led the Cardinals to their first WS win back in 1926.

Statistically, probably the best player to ever play for the Cardinals.

Known as one of the greatest hitters of all time and maybe the best right handed hitter ever I believe. If you haven't heard of Rogers Hornsby then you aren't really a Cards fan. You just play at one. You should check out the rich history of the Cards. Dizzy Dean, Paul Dean, Ducky Medwick, Frankie Frisch, etc etc. You can get lost in the stories. "Pass the biscuits Mirandy"
