Does Bloom subscribe to the MO”Let The Market Develop” strategy? Meaning sit around and watch all the top FA and trade candidates sign or swap teams……and then proclaim to press that HE was in on every transaction

Bloom needs to be the activist predator this offseason……..Waiting……

In my opinion this winter should be a "freebie" for Bloom. I say that because it won't be a normal off season. There will be no normal off seasons until the new CBA is finalized. Now I don't mean, Bloom should be congradulated for resigning Miles (god I hope not) just that I don't think we will see the REAL Bloom this year.

Whether will wait like Mo or be more active early is just guess work. My guess, he will be a little slower then we like. Mostly to allow the trade market for Arenado, Willie and Gray to shape up. Until he knows what's he's doing there, the rest will wait. Maybe a minor free agent signing or two

Active in trading guys on the roster. Passive in signing FAs.

I think Bloom is already way ahead of schedule having put the word out through all of MLB that he's OPEN for BUSINESS.

And he's got a long list of players to sell:

NADO
Gray
WillyC (not likely)
Donny
Burleson (not likely unless overwhelmed)
Winn (not likely unless overwhelmed)
Noot (not likely until he's rehabbed his trade value, then dealt mid season)
Catching (major and minor league)
Minor leaguers not named (JJW, Doyle, Mathews or Ra-Rod)

Bloom should make the market for his trade pieces. Hopefully by now he’s identified those players and their most likely trade partners…..force the issue. Waiting for some “developing market” is losers mentality. If anything this offseason is the time to TRADE if clubs are hesitant to sign FA due to lockout……

If he's trading guys with NTCs, he has to be aggressive now because there may be few teams who want them that they are also willing to go to. If the teams they are willing to go to fill their needs in other ways, you don't get them traded.

Exactly…..each day gone is a lost opportunity……MO’s waiting for “market to develop” is tied for the stupidest quote along with his “gotta see what we have”

Does Bloom set the market, or does the Market move Bloom. The lockout is like a big dominant high pressure dome in weather. It controls the narrative and it ain’t moving.

Nado is going to be moved, even if the Cards eat some of his contract. I am sure Bloom will look to trade Gray and Willy C. The question remains is will he move Donovan to make room on the IF for JJ and Gorman with Saggese as the utility IF?

Who says he's not pushing the issue? The WS ended just 8 days ago.

Do you think he should've traded Gray or NA by now? Do you think teams are making either one of those a top priority immediately after the WS ended?

Nice response. And accurate. Certainly works being done. Takes two to Tango. Also, no one else seems to be on an excelarated pace.

I don’t think I wrote that Gray and NA should’ve been traded by now…….Expressing that I really hope he’s proactive…..and since we’ve seen no signs yet…..none of us know

How many teams will have NA as their first choice at 3B? I think that has a good chance to slow him down.
It is also possible that those teams may prefer Donovan over NA.
SG is different but again the FA class will influence along with 2027 which could make his 1 year deal
look good to some. WC IDK.

Bloom might just work on the Cardinals roster while waiting for teams to circle back. It's possible for him to believe
anything from NA, SG, or WC will have a lessor affect on the 2026 roster. All guess work.
