considering he only hit in 4 of 17? games, they have to put out something

They should have made a Dizzy Dean rule to let him stay and hit if he got taken out of a game.

They should have made a Dizzy Dean rule to let him stay and hit if he got taken out of a game.
Who knows if they had the DH in that era.
Same for Bob Gibson, or Don Drysdale and all the other good hitting pitchers.
