not sure...but I pray we have the minimal amount this time. Waino, Goldy and Nado were horrible after the WBC. Would've they have been at their 2022 level by not going? I don't know, but I'd much rather they got their Spring Training reps in Spring Training than hanging with other geriatrics in the WBC. Their drop off from 2022, especially Goldy and Nado was extremely steep. I would imagine Donovan, with his position versatility and coming from a military family, will get an invite for team USA. Maybe Sonny Gray? Agree with this. I think it is disruptive and not a good thing for this team at this time. This is not a veteran team and has lots of things to figure out. IIRC the Cards organization sent around 15 players to the WBC. That's way too many.
Many of the players seem to love it.

There is nothing more exciting than watching a team from the Netherlands try to play baseball.
