Ruh Roh....Ohtani beaten by Toronto? Look like Toronto came to play.

Ohtani is human after all. Toronto looks like they're not believing the hype. What I've learned in the playoffs so far? How important a very good bullpen can be. Very interesting game tomorrow. The Dodgers seldom have their backs to the wall, but tomorrow is almost a must win.

do you think Toronto has a 'very good bullpen' - it is actually their weakest link

Ohtani wasn't just human.
He was bad.
6 innings, 4 earned runs.
0-3, 2 K's.
That's baseball.
Great one night.
Doghouse the next.

The entire Dodger offense stunk again. All those names, and not much production. Betts managed a measly single after it was 6-1.

Nicely done!
I appreciate a well-turned phrase.

Simplistic way to see it.
When he left the game he had given up 2 earned runs. The bullpen screwed him.
He was good.

Merely commenting that they are all throwing high 90's gas. When I looked up their pitching I was surprised to see their rankings.
Toronto...ERA - 19th
WHIP - 16th
BAA - 14th
QS - 14th

That doesn't really scream dominant to me. They apparently are a team built quite literally on offense.

Toronto...Runs - 4th
On Base - 1st
Batting Avg - 1st
Slug - 7th

I didn't realize they were that good offensively.

I'd take him on the Cards though. LOL

Blue Jays now face Snell and Yamamoto back to back. Gonna be tough, but at least they will be going back to Toronto for Friday's game.

And they lead all of MLB this playoff season w/a team slash of:

.285 .348 .475 .823
#1 in all slash lines

6 innings and 4 runs isn’t great but it’s certainly not bad. We would have been raving about that kind of start for weeks this year if someone in the Cardinal rotation did it……

Like everyone, I think Ohtani is an elite and generational talent.
But everyone has a bad game.
As for him being a Cardinal, I would not be in favor simply based on principles.

The other day there was a discussion about best post season game. It compared a non WS game of Ohtani's whether it was better then Gibson. I said the time to wait until he had played a WS game. No doubt Ohtani brings better offense but pitching..... Give me Gibby. Gibby worst WS game was his first in 1964, That game was 8 innings, 4 ER, and 9 Ks. He came back 4 days later to pitch 10 innings, 2 ER and 13 K. Took 2 days off and pitched game 7, 9 innings, 5ER, and 9 Ks.

When Ohtani comes close to that, then talk about WS perforance.
