The Teams that did it the right way now passing the Blues
Ottawa, Montreal, Detroit, Utah, etc...all better teams now. Meanwhile the Blues continue to sink.
Army is a FAILURE. He must resign!!

Meanwhile, in St Louis, the 1C is out and the offense improves.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 06:58 am Ottawa, Montreal, Detroit, Utah, etc...all better teams now. Meanwhile the Blues continue to sink.

The "staying competitive while re-whatevering" killed the Blues for at least 5 years.
The long-term contracts to Kyrou, Buch and Thomas will block progress even if a star rookie was in the pipeline.
Army should resign. He failed at evaluating our personnel accurately.

Ignoring the truth does not make it go away.

Thomas is the only one of the 3 who deserved that contract....a smell of green grass wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 07:24 amMeanwhile, in St Louis, the 1C is out and the offense improves.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 06:58 am Ottawa, Montreal, Detroit, Utah, etc...all better teams now. All that one has to do is to compare the fan perspective...
Fan perspective in Montreal...
Demidov is going to tear up the league.
Fan perspective in St Louis...
Dvorsky is not ready yet, and don't ask me how good he will be. If everything goes well, he will be a 2C, maybe, or maybe a Winger for a couple years.
Jiricek is seriously not ready yet.

Montreal - 2017
Detroit - 2016
Ottawa - 2017
Utah - 2012
Blues - 2022

Blues - 2022

LOL, you guys who embrace tanking are pathetic. You basically now have what you want....... the team has been losing, yet you're still whining & complaining.

If Army is in the building, the wrong player will be selected. I want a TOP5 pick and somebody else picking.
Army will be the first to tell you building a strong team through the middle, centers, defensemen, and goalies. In 17 years, Army has given us Parayko and Binnington via the draft. The best GMs build via the draft. Armstrong builds very little via the draft, and the good finds that he does make, always end up on other rosters, an inscribed on Stanley Cups.

Five years ago, a year after winning the Stanley Cup, you wanted them to tank?a smell of green grass wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 07:24 amMeanwhile, in St Louis, the 1C is out and the offense improves.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 06:58 am Ottawa, Montreal, Detroit, Utah, etc...all better teams now. I wanted them to tank in 2023 and 2024 after jettisoning ROR and the rest. Instead, Army believed that he was smarter than 30 other GMs and could find everything we need later in the draft.somni wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 11:07 amFive years ago, a year after winning the Stanley Cup, you wanted them to tank?a smell of green grass wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 07:24 amMeanwhile, in St Louis, the 1C is out and the offense improves.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 06:58 am Ottawa, Montreal, Detroit, Utah, etc...all better teams now. We got nothing of value out of the 23/24 drafts. Nothing that will provide a competitive edge.
Re: The Teams that did it the right way now passing the Blues
Last season the Florida Panthers at one stretch went 1-6-0 and at another went 1-4-1.
Just saying.
Just saying.

So you want guys drafted 1-2 years ago to already be on the big club???a smell of green grass wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 11:14 amI wanted them to tank in 2023 and 2024 after jettisoning ROR and the rest. Re: The Teams that did it the right way now passing the Blues
You misunderstand completely....
None of us WANT tanking, but sometimes it is the best/necessary option to build a team with a solid future foundation. Army has tried to sell us
on continuing to compete while "retooling"...in the end that just prolongs the agony.
Re: The Teams that did it the right way now passing the Blues
Yet you're still beating the dead horse, you're still complaining when we're now in the losing process. Enjoy the process of wasting years to get your precious high draft picks. Look at MLB, ask the Baltimore Orioles how that worked out after getting getting blue chips. You guys who embrace tanking and losing are just that, losers.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 11:57 amYou misunderstand completely....
