Aside from the many things to be talked about with the roster, there is the issue of this rebrand.
Yeah, overall going with the retro Note and changing the colors is a success but the overall rebrand is a disappointment because it strips and guts so much of a historic franchise which is ironic given the retro move with the logo.
The secondary logos and fonts are as if someone input this prompt to Chat GPT: create St. Louis Blues secondary logos. It looks like generic stuff in Microsoft Word Art. Or presets in some basic graphic design program. It looks like what the marketing firm for the XFL (UFL whatever it is) did when it made all the logos for the league. It looks like the same type of generic, no-soul, nothingness that you find across MLB with the city connect uni’s. It looks like the type of stuff you’d find in an old video game that didn’t get the copyright rights from the MLB, NHL, NFL and just uses the colors and generic names.
The STL logo on the pants and shown around the locker room and on the signage outside the arena and all over town is not a fit for the Blues. That type of swerved logo is found in baseball for a reason. The NY on the Yankees cap. The STL on the Cards caps. NY on the Mets. LA on the Dodgers. SD for the Padres. It’s a baseball thing. It’s not a hockey thing and looks stupid and not of the St. Louis Blues.
The horn should resemble the horn from the Gretzky season Blues jerseys instead of the Word Art version we got. This was a pathetic miss.
There’s a reason the Blues changed the arm and waist band stripe to blue after only one season in yellow, it’s a shame (especially with Nashville’s primary color as yellow) that the Blues chose to make yellow such a prominent color on the white jerseys when the thickest part of the arm and waist should be blue.
We can go into details of why things are wrong but the main issue is this was an old house, nearly an original 6 house, a house with a lot of history and aesthetic nostalgia and we gutted the house and replaced with things that have distanced the franchise from itself.
There is a miss inside Enterprise as well, even though I understand the building needs to be crisp and up to standards to maintain status to have tier 1 concerts and events, but what an overly sterile environment they’ve created with the white and black.
The history of the Blues should have been accentuated and heightened by this rebrand, instead it’s a soulless miss.

I love the new uniforms. Top 3 in the NHL IMO.TheSolution wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025 17:56 pm >There’s obvious issues with the 5th and 6th D.

I believe that most agree with me. I believe you are in the minority.

The post isn’t about the uniforms, just a small mention.
