This Ohtani Game: Isn't this the most dominant single game performance ever in the history of any team sport?

All I can think of is Wilt Chamberlain maybe.
Or Wayne Gretzky?
This is off the charts bananas what he did.
Insane.

Not really.
He and the Dodgers were given a grossly unfair advantage.
I suppose the corrupt Ohtani rule did however achieve the desired outcome.

Corrupt? Why? The rule would apply to another player that could pitch and hit as well. Do you have anyone in mind? Or is it corrupt because only player is capable of doing it.

I guess the NFL had a corrupt rule when "Jet Stream" Roy Green could play offense and defense in the same game.

Ohtani is an example of a true "unicorn".

Guy had over 13 hundred feet in HRs last night.

Players like that don't grow on trees.

As a baseball fan I can enjoy watching him play without getting all bent out of shape on how much money the Dodgers have or him being able to stay in the game after he's done pitching.

Baseball as a whole does a terrible job in marketing it's players.

Mel, he did it against the best team in baseball
Brews had the best record.
He dominated on the mound.
He dominated at the plate.
It was truly remarkable.
Please, withhold the bias.

This is like having Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens in the same body.
Minus the roids that is.

I'm not a serious baseball fan, but nothing in my memory comes close to what he accomplished yesterday. It was a staggering performance.

Exactly.
Like I said, this has to be historic in all of sport.
Maybe Wilt in basketball.
I don't think Gretzky was a great defender, so probably he didn't do anything comparable.
I can't think of any game in any team sport where 1 guy dominated both ends to that extent.

But I guess Gorman is a close 900th.

It is a corrupt rule because it was put in place solely to drive revenue, gives one team an intentional lineup advantage over all others, forces 29 managers to manage a game one way and gives a free pass to the 30th, and makes equal competition a complete mockery.

Other teams can DH their pitchers.
No one stopping them.

The rule itself is biased - created specifically to benefit one player and one team.
It completely corrupts the outcome of every game in which he plays.
Last night, Ohtani's asterisk was far greater than Maris' ever was.
And his final HR of the night was every bit as contrived as any of Bond's were.
