offseason surgeries... Donovan, Herrera, Nootbaar

Post by craviduce »

per @JohnDenton555

The #STLCards announced surgical procedures for three players:

Brendan Donovan had a sports hernia repair on Oct. 7.

Ivan Herrera had right elbow scope to remove bone spurring on Oct. 15.

Lars Nootbaar had surgery on both heels to shave down Haglund’s deformities on Oct. 7.

I predict Herrera will definitely be there, Donovan maybe, and Nootbaar almost certain to be elsewhere.

I'd agree on Hererra.

Odds are Donny could be dealt as he's C. Bloom's best trade chip.

IMO Noot all depends on where Bloom starts J. Walker.

If he's at AAA where he belongs, then Noot could be here.

If Walker's in St. Louis opening day, then Noot could be gone.

Yeah i would agree. Herrera is really the only guy last year that showed he can be a legitimate MOTB/30 hr potential(health permitting). Keeping him at catcher is beyond asinine but you don’t want to trade away that bat

Any lobotomies scheduled? That's what I'm interested in.

Hopefully Noot can get in a full season for at least 140 games or so.

Sure seems that way

It will take so doing for Bloom's gang down below to fix him (and Gorman too if he happens to start at Memphis too).
