What have we seen that resembles success. What are some intangibles we don’t possess.

Milwaukee- power hitting lead off man, usually take long at bats, run well. Pitch good.

Dodgers- steady. Controls the narrative. Good pitching.


Thought- the Dodgers pen is susceptible. The Brewers getting into that pen is paramount. So far, the Dodger starters have gone 17/18 innings played. That’s huge.

I don’t know if we learned that, or we expected it. The dodgers may go with Glasnow Ohtani and Snell in LA. That’s a tough haul.

The brewers are working towards a pen game or two. Peraltra was their horse.

We learned that premium pitching beats premium hitting every time. We learned that a strong rotation wins. We learned that money buys talent. We learned there's a difference between regular season and the playoffs. But I would say above all we see how important top tier pitching is and how it can carry a team. The Brewers still have a puncher's chance but they are going to face that pitching and a home team crowd that will be absolutely ravenous.

My expectations were that the Brewers needed to win at least 1 game at home. Their offense has been neutralized by Snell and Yamamoto. The next two starters are no slouches either.

Good catch- other series. I forgot as I was writing. Brain fart. So I decided to let the other series infuse itself.

Two-zero. Gonna be tough for Toronto. Do they have the pitching. Seattle seems to.

Also more fire power from Mariners.

Pat Murphy said postgame .. ‘if someone told me Dodgers would have total of 7 runs in two games, I would have said we had good chance of being 1-1 in series .’
The 7 was plenty with Dodger pitchers holding Brewers to 2 runs

And that Even if Cardinals offered big $$$ to Yamamoto , Freeman, Ohtani, Snell when they were free agents those types will land in big city markets. They won’t consider Midwest .
All the mid range markets realize they won’t get them.
If you were going to get $25-40 plus per year, would you choose to live in sunny LA maybe a gorgeous home with pool to swim year round on beach in Malibu etc
or live in West County. Show me a 25 to 30 year old players wife that would pick the latter. Lol
