Dodgers/Brewers .. Who takes the best of 7 ?

First, the Brewers do have home field advantage and if going 7 games gets the extra game in Milwaukee. Note: In 2018, the Brewers had the extra game and lost Game 7 in Milwaukee 5-2.
Secondly , the Brewers dominated the Dodgers in regular season going 6-0 sweeping LA in all 6 games.
When the two played in regular season it was when the Brewers were on their red hot winning streak and LAD had the 'very cold bats ' of Freeman, Mookie, and Ohtani at the time.

Though the Brewers had the best record in baseball this year , the odds makers favor the Dodgers in this series. So Brewers get to play the 'underdog' role despite their winning ways. Do they have a psychological advantage playing the 'we are the average Joe's ' role that Manager Pat Murphy has used this year. The team also has that 'win one for the Gipper' mentality as they have the Bob Uecker legacy in play. Will that help them or not ?

Your thoughts on NLCS .

I think the Dodgers have a better staff, Milwaukee a better pen. But is the pen wearing thin.

Dodgers are due to break out.

Dodgers in six.

It is a nice advantage for the Brewers to start the NLCS at home. The fact that Milwaukee swept all 6 games vs LA is very interesting, but all of those games took place from July 7-20, when the Dodgers had just finished a stretch of going 2-7, including 7 losses in a row. They were not playing well at all, and the Brewers were HOT, in the midst of a 11 game winning streak, and 13 of 15.

I would love to see the Brewers win the series, but my concern is with their starting pitching. Peralta is playoff experienced, but he has not been particularly successful, going 1-2 in 4 games started, allowing 12 runs in 23.2 IP. Priester and Misiorowski are both young. Quintana is old and has never won a playoff game, although he has pitched well in several of his games, but not against LA. He got knocked out after 3.1 innings in last year's NLCS by the Dodgers, giving up 5 runs. He did pitch vs them in the regular season, winning one decision, giving up 5 runs in 12 IP. The Brewers will need exceptional work from their bullpen to beat LA, and Murphy does handle his pen better than most.

The Dodgers deep and formidable lineup, their starting staff of Snell, Yamamoto, Glasnow, and Ohtani, and their recent playoff experience make them a solid favorite.

Logically - Dodgers

As MLB fan - Brewers

It would be great if Muncy were to retire. Dodgers get Arenado and Gorman. Cards get Pages & ???.

Dodgers. Unfortunately. Despite the Brewers owning them in the regular season this year.

Ohtani.

Since you’re fantasizing, I want to add my outrageous fantasy as well.

As much as I would like tge Brewers to beat the money masters I don't believe that's going to happen.

For example Ohtani did nothing in the division series and the Dodgers still won.

The Brewers do have a HF edge but the Dodgers have too much firepower.

LA in 6.

Likewise, Yelich , the Brewers top player, didn't do much vs. the Cubs in that series and Brewers won.
Think for the Brewers to win , they need to win 3 of 4 games at home. That would force the Dodgers to sweep the 3 games in LA to beat them.
Brewers seem to be able to score runs in their home park pretty well. That added home game could possibly make the diference for them .
Dodgers key to me isn't their hitting but their pitching . If they keep the Brewers traffic off the bases .. no walks or very few , the Brewers running game gets neutralized. When they get base runners they can play their 'small ball' game .. bunts and infield hits to scratch out some runs .
In Game 4 vs. Cubs, the Brewers only had 3 hits and couldn't score. Dodgers must do that .

I'm going to go against the trend here- I say Brewers win. They seem to have an answer for everything.
