NEW: The NCAA Division I Administrative Committee passed dates for the one-time-only college football transfer portal on Tuesday.

The 2025 college football transfer portal will last from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16, the NCAA announced.

This year the playoff games are Dec 31 and Jan 1, 8, 9, 19. The new window will mean extra work for staffs in the playoff mix, not that I expect any coaches to wish they were missing out on the extra games.

Why not start after January 19? Seems odd. Almost like they want to penalize the teams in the playoffs to even out the playing field.

These are schools. If a kid transfers, you want them on campus before it's too late to add classes. I know they're "students" in name only, but certain protocols must be maintained.

Having Beau in the Tp really hurt PSU in playoffs. could have used his skillsets as Allar wasn't very effective and is one trick pony. Also not fair for the player who was integral part of that team. but now this is all bidness and player had to do what was best for him. Boy did it pay off for him and PSU fans are howling about look we could have had Beau leading us this year.
