Getting that much needed additional power hitter

A corner outfielder, DH, maybe a 3B seems like the most logical potential fits. Bloom likely needs to make a savvy trade to acquire that player. A difference-maker FA may be too expensive for the budget.

Won't happen unless they can trade for a young all around talented players. There is no way they are going to let a pricey signing get in the way of the young talent playing next year. They are going to be looking for players that can hit, but is also good fielders and runs the bases well. They have way to many DH type hitters on this team now who are average fielders at best and takes two trips to haul (donkey).

Not a power hitter but with change in leadership, is Trevor Bauer more palatable? The team could use a power pitcher too.

Seems to me that the juice would be worth even less the squeeze with each year he gets older. He's not coming back (to MLB period).

You've already done this "need to get a OF/DH/3B power hitter" thread topic. Multiple times.

We get it. You think they need to get a "good, young, cost-controlled, MOTO power hitter." You've only told us about a thousand times.
You know who else needs a "good, young, cost-controlled, MOTO power hitter"? Every team in Major League Baseball.

That young player you describe probably won't be a DH type. My guess is, Bloom needs to find a team, with an abundance of outfielders. Maybe having a really good AAA player, with MLB potential, that's blocked. Couple that with a team that needs a solid All Star type infielder like Donovan. If Donovan is traded, Bloom needs to have a good bead on Wetherholt being MLB ready and good enough to replace Donovan, offensively and defensively.

Then they can move the light hitting Burleson to sixth or seventh where he belongs

Too many dingdongs here still don't realize that Burleson is not the problem. It's more of some more highly acclaimed players in in the organization that haven't met expectations. Burleson has exceeded expectations.

I can't wait until Thursday's iteration of this very topic. I heard it's going to "good" and "head"ed into "its my made up Prime"

The play is to grab as many prospects as possible, peppered in with some 1-2 year deal vets.
The play isn’t an additional power hitter via trade.

The Siamese twins are at it once again. That don't have a clue as to how insignificant their idle complaints are.

Burleson has exceeded expectations.
You said he was “the next Tony Gwynn / Joey Votto,” so how has he exceeded expectations?

Burleson is projected 3.5million in ARB. With only 7 XBH with RISP. That gives him only a "2" on the PtV scale.... PtV = Power to Value scale. That's not going to cut it in the 3 hole....that's HORRIBLE, and he's going into his Made Up Prime.
With that type of regression he needs to be traded Pronto or he'll level Toronto.

Anyone with a brain realizes Burleson in the 3-hole is utterly ridiculous

Some dippshitt, Burleson bashers here need to complain to Marmol. Who happens to be the one that makes the lineup decisions. Not getting so riled up about what a nobody like me feels. They seem to be kind of losers wanting some low life gratification. LOL
