If you had to pick one trade this winter by Bloom that will surprise most MLB observers, what might that be ?
A deal that MLB TV analyst/ insiders (Heyman, Olney, etc.)
may call a ‘blockbuster’ deal

Sort of hard to be blockbuster when no true star power on team but how about a 5 player deal with Winn, Donovan and WC and two prospects for big time high dollar big bat.
Another shocker would be any trade involving JJ since many on here already have him in the hall of fame.

Nah, you should stick with your
actual proposal of Jordan Walker for Bubba Chandler. "LOL"

Think the Cards to be kind of hard to trade with - Would take a lot of cash $ on the part of cards to make a trade. what to do with the stuff we would get back? We already have piles of that not sure we need more. I feel we need MLB players-we have nothing to trade and wont part with the cash.
Waiting on new MLB Owners

None, zero, zilch. No blockbuster trades, and no, NA does not count. The Cardinals are not in a position to make a big deal. They don't have a surplus of great talent anywhere, and the players that are available don't warrant an All-Star in return, probably not even in a package deal. A series of small deals to get rid of clutter is what the Cardinals are looking at this offseason.

Definition of blockbuster term can vary . It doesn't necessarily mean great talent gets traded . When a team trades a couple major league starters maybe adding a prospect also in the deal, baseball insider types will refer to that as a blockbuster . Ex. Let's say that a Donovan plus Noot are traded together in a deal , many media would say that was a blockbuster.

This is the correct answer. And that's not on Bloom--this mess was not his making.
The way I see it, Bloom's job this offseason is to clean up the mess, but set us up for a blockbuster deal when the time is right. And unless some CRAZY stuff happens, that time won't be this offseason. At best, it'll be next offseason.

Pure fantasy but definitely "surprising":
M. Winn/Cardinals
for
A. Riley/Braves (assumes NADO traded, free's up N. Gorman to be traded and gives Cardinals their 3Bman RH'd, MOTO hitter)
or
M. Winn/Cardinals
for
J. Ryan/Twins (assumes S. Gray is traded, Ryan inked to a LT deal)

The most surprising might well be Gray.
He is owed so much money, and the team is so vacant with pitching as
of today.
The blockbuster criteria is a bit different. Any name going either direction would get that title.
Winn, Herrera, WC, BD, NA, Gray would do that from the Cards side. But
of that group only being able to move Gray surprises.
How about Donovan+ for Cantillo or Bibee?

Both of these have truth. With everything that is in play it will probably be a couple of under the radar trades where Bloom deals from the log jams we have on the roster for a highly promising AA or higher prospect in an area of need. I could also see Bloom diving deeper into the international market with some of the cost cutting from the high end vets. All aiming for ‘27 and ‘28 seasons.
Just my thoughts

Those many would be wrong and intentionally so. That would be the media creating clickbait headlines. You didn’t mention the return but trading those guys is not earth shattering, it does not change the overall baseball landscape by any means.
I will grant you the term is subjective. My opinion is the cardinals have no one to trade that would be considered blockbuster worthy
