While I don’t claim to know the ins and outs of the specific roles/responsibilities of each Cardinal coach, I wouldn’t be surprised if both 3rd base coach (Pops) and pitching coach (Dusty) get replaced.

Why should Brown be retained? Take a look at Gorman, Walker, Scott, Arenado and Noot. Great job! And nobody else appreciably improved.

Some would say these players improved in 2025:
Burly, Winn, Donovan, Herrera, Saggese.

My hope has been C. Bloom fires a large portion of Oli's staff, starting w/D. Blake who's absolutely useless.

BDWJr kept Oli but Bloom has control over his coaching staff.

I dont think we see much change at all. Maybe one coach. Stubby could move to 3b and Jay take 1b. That may be it.

Not Oli's call govman, the POBO hires/fires the manager/coaching staff.

I'm hoping Bloom is reaching out right now and interviewing candidates to replace some coaches starting w/D. Blake.

Managers like Oli don’t get to hire their own staffs any more. MAYBE they get to hire their bench coach. However, today’s Cardinals coaching staff have to the Geek Stamp of Approval. They cannot and will not object to whatever the Geek Squad mandates. If they do, they invade the Geek Safe Space and create a hostile workplace. Then are then dismissed for “philosophical differences”. Gotta Speak the Geek.
