My speculation on manager position

Bloom concentrated for two years on player development and the minor leagues. Springfield won their league championship. Perhaps that manager has caught Bloom's eye. He could promote him to AAA and coach many of those players again in 2026 and then replace Oli in 2027. I’m desperate for some logical reason for them to retain Oli. Nothing else makes sense. I’m sure the attack dogs will have a field day with this post. Incoming.

I'm more curious as to what coaches are retained.

Not an attack dog, and not an Ollie fan, but let's be honest here. How could he, or any manager succeed when you're rolling out the pitching staff he was blessed with. Pallante, Mikolas, Fedde every 5 games? No manager could have won with those guys. Its absolutely amazing that they almost won as many games as they lost with that staff. Not to mention a handful of sub .220 hitters.

If there is one thing I will say about Oli, to his credit. It was back in July when he was asked the question about Fedde and basically how in the f*** at this point can he consider putting him out for another start. And reading between the lines and as politely as he could said that it was not his call and that he didn’t want to.

I’m not a fan of Oli and think it is a massive mistake bringing him back. But it’s does make one wonder just how much he was being held back by the egMOmaniac

Bloom wanted to fire Marmol, and BDW and Mo said no.

The end.

If true, Bloom should get out now.

Bloom is clearly not a guy who minds taking orders.

But he'll benefit from a media market who tells us not to blame Oli because he has a terrible roster, and don't blame the POBO because he has a bad owner, but don't blame the owner because he was great for years...and what's he supposed to do if the guys on the field aren't developing? (In physics, this is called the "Karraker-Mikolasz Loop")

Patrick Anderson, the destroyer of pitching arms....hell no, absolutely hell no. His pitching coaches in Springfield this year were Jose Leger's (former AA manager, promoted to Minor League Coordinator). Without them, Anderson would've ruined his BP, and perhaps his starters. See the last 5 years in Peoria for further examples of Patrick Anderson and riding his BP arms to their detriment.

I remember this. It was the moment oli's nuts dropped and he forced Mo's hand a bit. For the fan's sake, I hope oli was held back by Johnny bow ties. And I hope he proves to be much better than what we have seen to this point. But I doubt it was all Mo's fault.

Why do you feel the need to try to “pronounce” it? Everyone knows how it’s pronounced.

Let’s see a link to your extension report.

That’s how it’s typed. Get it right when you type.
