Nothing is going to change with Mo gone.

It is already a bad look on Bloom to keep Oli yes. Regardless on if it is his or Dewitt’s decision. A fan base so desperate for a fresh start and to rid itself of the STD that was the MO era he isn’t making a great first impression. And the decision to keep running Herrera out at C is also pretty puzzling.
Right now only a couple days into the offseason it just looks more of the same, but I guess we’ll see how it all plays out. Bloom does have a lot of messes to clean up so he at least deserves ample time to get it all sorted out

The venn diagram of people who hated the Shildt/Oli hires because they had no experience and are whinging for a Molina/Pujols hire is a circle.

hiring pujols or molina to manage the cardinals is one of the worst ideas many in the fanbase seem to keep calling for.
terrible idea. especially at any point in the next three years.

Pujols has more MLB knowledge and intuition than Oli could ever dream of…..with the cache of winning 2 WS and a top 10 HOFer
Now who would you listen to and play your (donkey) off for??? The guy who never saw MLB and coached one rookie league season or AP?
These are multi multi millionaires filling out MLB rosters….why would they listen to a nobody??

Pujols or Molina not the answer. Oli not the answer either. He is a putz.

You realize he's an employee of the Angels?

Wanting to hire Pujols or Molina to be yet another first-time manager because they were popular players and would sell tickets is foolish.

Let Pujols and Molina cut their teeth with different organizations
Not a Oli fan but he is just a temporary placeholder

How many world series' did Whitey Herzog win as a player? Or Tony LaRussa? Earl Weaver? Sparky Anderson?
Are you saying the 80's Cardinals didn't play their butts off because prior to then, Whitey Herzog had never been a star player or sniffed a world series?
That's just off the top of my head. Do better, man.

“This move will make the fans feel good in the short term” is a phrase I hope bloom never uses.

So you’re predicting a career path for Oli as those you listed??
Not sure I understand your point?
Mine is that Pujols is much more knowledgeable and has great Cache…..I think he’ll be a very good manager.
I’ve seen lil Oli manage…..its a chitshow…..Mo inserted him so there’s your sign
Whitey ran an entire development org, was very successful…..and was manager of the Royals BEFORE he even came here
So again whats your point?

Bloom's been on the job for two days and already he is getting bashed by some . The Mo bashers now have a new whipping boy.
The fact that Bloom is keeping Oli as manager has really ticked off the 'fire Oli ' crowd. Regardless of what he does with player personnel , he won't get a fair shake with that group til Oli is gone .

Success and good baseball careers are not a linear relationship. Plenty of greats had lame managing careers.
If you don't like Oli, don't like Oli. But don't be an idiot about it, either.
