At this point, can anyone think of a reason why not?

What, without even trying to find someone better? Seems like he has one good game a month. I guess it won't really matter, the attendance and team results next season will be pretty much the same.
This is a long-term process. We need an innings eater. I bet you could get him to come back on a one-year deal for less than his current rate of $18.5 mil. Sounds like a deal.Ordinary Man wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 15:56 pmWhat, without even trying to find someone better? Seems like he has one good game a month. They’re brining oli back might as well bring back Mm and Fedde and everyone else who helped them lose this seasonOrdinary Man wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 15:56 pmWhat, without even trying to find someone better? Yeah, leadership. Keeping Marmol looks like an ownership mandate to me.Dicktar2023 wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 15:58 pmThis is a long-term process. We need an innings eater. Be a wonderful second move on Bloom's part, after his leadership on keeping Marmol.

All those those sentimental goodbyes to Arenado made me laugh, since the odds of him coming back next year are probably even.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 16:01 pmThey’re brining oli back might as well bring back Mm and Fedde and everyone else who helped them lose this seasonOrdinary Man wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 15:56 pmWhat, without even trying to find someone better? There are only two options: either Bloom is a complete moron, or he's not allowed to pick his own coaches.Ordinary Man wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 16:02 pmYeah, leadership. Yeah, those SIX home runs at Wrigley on July 4th were caused by our poor lineup. I wish they'd have left him in. I wanted to see how high that total would get. Admittedly, he only gave up 3 this past week there, so maybe he's found something.Dicktar2023 wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 16:10 pm Back to the topic...MM is a terrible pitcher, yes, but maybe that's only because the roster around him is flawed. If he had better run support, he might end up with a winning record.

Seems like you're in a mindset where failure should not be rewarded, but this is BDW Presents Chaim Blooms's "New" Cardinal Nation, Brought to You By John Mozeliak, where we do the same thing over and over again until we get a different result. Learning from mistakes is a sign of weakness.Ordinary Man wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025 16:13 pmYeah, those SIX home runs at Wrigley on July 4th were caused by our poor lineup. I wish they'd have left him in.
