Wildcard playoffs

Tigers defeat the Guardians in Cleveland 2-1. Jose Ramirez led off the 9th with an infield single, which Hot Dog Javy Baez threw wildly into RF, and Ramirez took third - but Cleveland failed to score.

In Chicago, Padres up 1-0 on back to back doubles by Jackson Merrill and Xander Bogaerts. On a throwing error by PCA, Bogaerts went to third with no outs, but was stranded there.

Still 1-0 Padres in Chicago. Counsell takes his ace Boyd out after only 58 pitches with one on, one out in the 5th.......
confusing, but it did work out for the cubs at least for now......

As poorly as the Tigers finished I picked them in the series. I couldn't pass on Skubal opening a three gamer. I completely missed when Baez switched back to IF. Maybe he should return to CF.

Yep. Can’t root for the Cubs, and I can root for Mike Shildt.

Yup. Thought for sure CLE was going to tie it but JRam baserunning mistake ended that.
