He flushed $400,000,000 of his boss’s money down the toilet with idiotic extensions and FA deals that didn’t work out.

He continuously bet on the wrong guys while trading players who became solid major leaguers for other teams.

He never sold high on any prospect. Instead he hung on to bad players hoping they might become good players.

His legacy is [shirt].

He is and was a bean counter, not a baseball man with first hand knowledge.

Through his foibles he has totally trashed his reputation. Even little children spit in disgust after they say his name. He can’t find the truth (to tell it) with a map and a flashlight. He is spinning his legacy totally out of control and people are guffawing at his yarns. Just look at what he’s done for us lately. Nothing. Except, perhaps, a 15% price increase for tickets next season. That increase has the retiring shiny asz bookkeeper’s greasy fingerprints all over it. Yes, his face is punchable. Yes, he is a smug, arrogant little guy who has for years thought he is the smartest man in the room, even while losing playoff games hand over fist; when he actually bothers to make the playoffs, that is. Just leave already. It will take until Spring Training to fumigate your office.

But, he does have a nice family.

I’m not sure how anyone can celebrate a guy who has Done this to the Stl. Cardinals……
4-5th place finishes in the NL Central
71-91 in ‘23
An incompetent lapdog manager
10-15k in seats most of the season
Fan apathy at all-time highs
And a HIGHLY uncertain long road to ever getting back to prominence years away if at all
What else was there left for him to destroy….
