1,467 players ranked. Walker is the 1,464th best player in baseball, but never forget “he’s only 16 years old…”

Tough love decisions was why Bloom was brought here. Trading Walker will be his legendary move. As the player we get back will likely out perform him.
Bloom has no love in this skin. It’s like Be Be kids to him.

So will starting him at AAA next season burn his last "option?" Or does he get another option with the new season? This is one part of baseball I have very little knowledge of, mostly because I don't think there's ever been such a mercurial player that you actually have to be cognizant of these options.

Not sure how the option would work if he starts at AAA.
Hopefully an "options" knowledgeable poster will educate both of us on this.

Options are a complete season worth, so once you go down, you can go up and down many times in that season. That is one option. Yes, if he starts in AAA he is optioned to AAA so that will be his last year of option to move back and forth.

Too many major league PA's have been wasted on these two already, hopefully Bloom puts a stop to it until they've EARNED them.

BK and Ferrario idiots keep thinking Walker should be the team's starting RF in 26. Say there's "nothing he can get from going to the minors."
I don't even know how to argue that level of stupid. How about learn to dominate AAA pitching before you drag down the MLB squad for another year just like, ohh, ummm.... EVERY OTHER PROSPECT!?!
He's never posted higher than a .753 OPS at AAA. As of now, he's the biggest top-prospect Cardinal bust in the 20 years I've been a fan.
-Alex Reyes at least had a fantastic rookie season with 3.2 WAR and his last 2 seasons were pretty good if you forget the last pitch he threw in each of those seasons. lmao!
-Taveras, we'll never know. RIP
-Ankiel at least had a somewhat productive hitting career
-J.D. Drew never became a perennial MVP candidate but man I'd take a 2nd coming of him for Walker all day every day.

Gorman is also another lost ball in the weeds.

Agreed. AAA pitching might be too much for him to handle. Even 80-yr old Steve Carlton could probably strike him out.

BAD take by them, I guess they like seeing him flounder in RF like a baby Giraffe and slashing .215 .275 .299 .575.
J. Walk HAS to start the season at Memphis (possibly N. Gorman too) and stay there until he's shown C. Bloom he's a changed hitter.
