He has been here for two years. Has he seen enough of these two? Let's all hope so as I have seen enough of these two striking out or hitting grounders and not half way running it out. They need some Pete Rose in them!

Start both at AAA Memphis in 2026
C. Bloom's minor league player development system is now in place.
If they show big improvement, then they can earn their way back to St. Louis.
If not, then cut the cord and move on at seasons end.
Bloom has no skin in the game w/these two who's failures are tied to Mo.

Agreed. They cost nothing and still have options. They have no value to any other club now, Cards might as well put them in the minors. Let them develop there vs MLB.
Both came straight out of high school. May just need a touch more time.
if at the end of the year they still suck...move em.
No (bleep) later if they are moved and excel...

Time for both to sink or swim, starting at Memphis is the right move for them.
But you know if they flounder, are dealt and do well w/their new teams then some yahoo's in here will roast Bloom.

Both should have been in AAA all year. Should have never came north.

What young prospect would have taken their place to start the season then????

Sure it does. Still need to fill out an MLB roster.
Just a lazy post...typical.

I agree. You made your usual lazy gothcha reply.
You don't think someone/anyone on the 40 man couldn't have filled those spots?

Thx HH
Take the pressure off these two and see if Bloom's people can salvage one or both.

Baseball wise, Gorman and Walker (there are others) have tried the most patient of fans. Chaim, I know you don’t need or want my advice, but move on from Gorman and Walker.

"Filling out an MLB roster" has been one of Mo's primary motivators. Developing MiLB players to the best interest of the player has taken a back seat. I think this is a mistake. I also think that Bloom will place developing the player to their highest level over "filling the MLB roster". Mo was in over his head in this area. Bloom will show more professionalism. No telling what could have been for a handful of highly touted prospects if they hadn't been run through the Mo meat grinder.

Well, Wetherholt w/o Gorman on the 26 could have had an easier path to the show in 2025.
Walker could have been replaced with one of or a combo of Koperniak, Antico and Church during the season and likely put up a much better collectively WAR number than JW has, which was -1.6 bWAR last time I checked.
Heck, who knows (nobody), but those 2 moves might have been enough to bump the Cards into a WC spot while still giving some prospects runway, just different ones than Gorman and Walker. It's also possible NG and/or JW gain traction in AAA and make it back to the show with a better chance of success.
I mentioned before the season trading Walker and Gorman then might be worth considering knowing it would carry some risk, and yes, they both had more est. trade value then than they do now.

Not anyone we needed too. But i'm not the lazy one...you are. You threw spaghetti at the wall.
tiring when it's just (bleep) or they should do this "generic thing (get a player/someone else could play there) without spelling any of it out

I was laughed at for stating JJ should have been on the roster since the start of the season. I still stand by that.
However, Kop/Antico and Church...all lefties. Need RH OFers...that's their draw backs.
