Based on this , it sure sounds like Bloom is allowing Oli to complete the final year on his deal . Jeff Jones posting of the 3 way meeting of Oli, Bloom, and Herrera

Oli Marmol said this afternoon that he and Chaim Bloom recently met with Iván Herrera, and together the three of them hashed out a winter work plan to get Herrera fully healthy -- including his right shoulder -- and back behind the plate in 2026:

Why would Bloom have the 3 man meeting if he was considering changing mangers ? doesn't make common sense

I suppose if they had left him out of the meeting, it would be an unnecessary foretelling to Oli. I don't know, seems like Oli will return but I don't think this meeting necessarily proves it. Let's see what happens.

IH has been in the organization for three years, and he still can't throw the ball from home plate to 2B...but I'm sure this is the winter where Marmol get through to him.

Sounds like Marmol is returning but speaking of Hererra shoulders don't tend to magically heal themselves.

Again, Marmol is returning. How are people not getting this?

Probably because it makes no sense whatsoever as it goes against blatant common sense and logic. And are on levels of idiocy that are difficult to comprehend.

Which I’m sure we can agree is a fair reaction.

Probably true. I'd say there's a 10% chance the DeWitts look at dwindling attendance and BPV receipts and decide on drastic change.

The DemWitts are severely lacking logic and common sense.

Oh absolutely! But it's still going to happen.

Oli is returning. But there are other options than the manager. Oli could slot into development leadership role. And that probably would be a good fit.

Anyway, I won't be surprised if he's the manager next year. Nor if he was offered and took another role in the org.

Herrera will not be the starting catcher next year.
He is merely being placated.

Placate is the correct term here. Herrera will show up in Jupiter as a catcher. We need lots of catchers in ST. Poor Ivan will face so much competition, he will not be a catcher come late March.

Herrera will be having elbow surgery in the offseason . (Note: out of the horses mouth in postgame on-field interview ) He feels that was hindering his throwing and he is looking forward to that helping him out.
