Any help, besides Wetherholt, coming from the minors?

Let's hope Wetherholt is the "real deal". It's about time for the highly touted Mathews to give the starting rotation some help. Joshua Baez seems intriguing. Anybody else fairly close to giving the Cardinals some much needed help?

Mock him if that is what your character dictates, but Shady has been proven correct about Burleson.
Nothing wrong with him wondering who else might be on the way with less fanfare than Wetherholt.

Wetherholt for Gorman - highter floor, higher ceiling
Mathews for Mikolas - lower floor, higher ceiling
Crooks for Pozo - lower floor, higher ceiling
Church for Walker - higher floor, lower ceiling - but Walker laid on the floor
Torres for Hampson - higher floor, higher ceiling
Later...
Baez
Roby
Doyle
Henderson
Mautz
Hanson
Gastellum
Love
Watson

Never about me.
It is regrettable when others attempt to make it so.
I am only and always about the game.
It is boorish on your part to attempt to highjack a thread based on a perfectly reasonable question.
So won't go there - other than to say I have been perfectly correct about Gorman and remain so today.
Now, back to Shady's appropriate question.
Prospect lists change from year to year, but the position player in the STL system who interest me the most in looking at 2026, other than Wetherholt, is Joshua Baez

Matthews has to lower his walk rate. Baez doesn't have a whole season in double a yet. Lots of hope at double a but I dont see them making the Springfield to StLouis jump again any time soon.

Yes, the walks suddenly appeared in AAA. He was fine in AA, A+, and A although he quickly smoked through those levels. He was also fine in his last season of college but he did have some issues early in his college years.

What about Blaze Jordan
I read an article about a week ago (Redbird Rants maybe?).
the writer's opinion is Blaze Jordan could be first up next year (well, 2nd up after JJ)

I see he's 0-3 with 2 Ks so far tonight.
but in general he's been pretty good.
and, IMO, has good potential.

He could straighten it out. The walks showed up when he started trying to get his fb speed back up after injury. It takes time. Point being he can't be penciled in for 2026 just yet.

What about Liam Doyle? #5 overall pick labeled closest to big league ready.
Blaze Jordan is also a possible jolt. 22 years old power bat hitting well in AAA this year.
Heck a lot of the pitching falls into the catagory of "if he finds ML command he is ready".
