Don't be silly. He and Saggese are in the next tier, numbers 5 and 8, respectively.

Agree
Ozzie was great but I’d go with Hornsby!

last spot arguments for
smith- greatest defensive ss of all time and an iconic player
hornsby- one of the greatest hitters ever, but did not play a good portion of his career here
brock- prolific leadoff hof hitter
molina- one of the greatest defensive catchers of all time
scheoendinst- hof 2b and manager. A staple of cardinal baseball for decades
jack buck- does this count?
I will go with Ozzie Smith, but I grew up watching and being mesmerized by his defense.

Hornsby was drafted by and played 13 seasons as a Cardinal (.359 .427 .568 .995).
By far his longest stint w/one team during his 23 year career (5 yrs w/the Browns, 4 yrs w/the Cubs and one yr each w/New York and Boston).
100% on the Cardinals Mt. Rushmore.

Keeping it at 4 is very tough. Can't argue with the 4 named (Stan, Gibby, Hornsby and Albert) but others are deserving Ozzie, Brock, Dizzy (one of the best 4 year stretches ever, 102 Wins), Molina, Red,
If you want a lower level, you have to think Mize, Medwick, Lankford, Edmond, Rolen, Pepper, maybe Carlton and Waino
Brings up a quick probably super easy trivia question. What Cardinal pitcher once won 20 games in a season, pitched 270 innings with only 90Ks

What 3 hitters and 1 pitcher from the other teams rival that?

Yep, now break down Albert's career.
