He'll make one final regular season start before the postseason. Kershaw currently sits at 77.6 WAR, 222 wins, 2.54 ERA, 3039 K's, and a whole bunch of other first-ballot Hall of Fame statistics for his career.
Kershaw will also retire 0-4, with a 6.19 ERA against the Cardinals in the postseason.
Cheers on a stellar career and for reminding me of better times for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Six consecutive years now for STL to not make it to the Elite 8... and only once in the past 10 years.
Memories of playoff success are fading. However, it was always fun to beat Kershaw.

There are people on this forum who will argue he is not a 1st ballot lock... probably even on this thread.
Assuming they're not teenagers, those people are hopeless morons.

Too bad the cards couldn’t get into the post season it would have been nice to blow him up one more time. Heck of a pitcher and a career though

Great pitcher. It's been fun watching him, Verlander, and Scherzer run such similar careers. I thought he had at least two more one-year contracts in him. I guess hoping for Matt Adams to give an induction speech is too much.

Only saw him once, last season in my only game, and he beat us 2-1 (pitched 6 innings) on a Sunday afternoon in August. Ohtani hit a solo homer in the 5th on a liner that took about 1.5 seconds to get over the right field fence. Noot hit a solo shot for us in the 8th and Sonny Gray took the loss giving up the two runs in 5 innings.
So I saw two sure HOFers do their thing. Kershaw's been a terrific pitcher but it's cool that the Cards always had his number in the postseason.

I can't believe the Dodgers didn't at least trade him in July so they could get "something" for him instead of letting him walk away for nothing /s

He had 10-5 rights, so in essence, a no-trade clause.

lol. What are you talking about?
Your mind has been warped by the cards’ plight.
Dodgers have been clinging to 1st place and Clayton has been GOOD.

He’s currently 222-96
How hard is it to play for 18 years and be 126 games over .500 and not lose 100 games?
I know he plays for LAD, but still…

Sorry for misunderstanding your comment earlier. I neither noticed the “/s”, nor even if I had, I didn’t know what it meant until a few minutes ago.
Please, carry on with your commentary. Now that I get it, I fully enjoy it!
