Radar says they're not playing for a long time.

Hopefully, this swath of storms move out sooner rather than later

the real heavy stuff is north of Springfield, but any of these storms can intensify at any moment.

slow moving system....and the wind pushing from the SSE....it's not being pushed like a normal storm from the W or NW.

like I said...probably a long night.

Tarp is being moved...not sure if it's off the field. But they just started removing the water from the tarp. A lot of standing water in foul grounds and the track.....great drainage system at Hammons.

Hopefully, this start very soon.

Ground Crews hard at work trying to get Hammons playable. They have to meet with the Umpires at 10pmEDT/9pm CDT to discuss playing conditions....30minutes, we'll have our answer if they're playing tonight or not.

WEATHER UPDATE: The rain has stopped. Our field crew is hard at work to get the field in playing shape. They will meet with umpires at 9:00 PM to determine playing conditions.

They announced if they do play it’s only seven innings.

thanks for the update, I hope we get this in....though, 7 innings for a playoff game is a bit bleh.

Update on the other series.... Midland vs. Amarillo.

Midland leads the series 1-0. And they lead game 2, 3-1 in the 6th. If the score holds, Midland would be the opponent for the Springfield/Tulsa series winner.

Midland is the Padres AA team. Amarillo is the DBacks AA team.

Now...we just need Mautz to be game ready...get his normal stretching/tossing/warm up in. This is what I always hated about rain delays before a game...it disrupts a starting pitchers routine. Those stretches and long tossing before BP warm ups are crucial
