I saw a graphic today showing the NFL standings with teams ranked by all time win percentage. I was surprised to see the entire NFC South had losing records, and the AFC West had all winning records. I wondered how it would look in MLB. Anyway, here is what the all-time standings look like:

NL East
.503 Braves
.484 Mets
.482 Nationals
.475 Phillies
.460 Marlins

NL Central
.520 Cardinals
.513 Cubs
.504 Reds
.500 Pirates
.489 Brewers

NL West
.535 Giants
.532 Dodgers
.489 Diamondbacks
.468 Padres
.457 Rockies

AL East
.569 Yankees
.518 Red Sox
.500 Blue Jays
.389 Rays
.475 Orioles

AL Central
.513 Guardindians
.503 Tigers
.499 White Sox
.482 Twins
.477 Royals

AL West
.503 Astros
.495 Angels
.486 Athletics
.478 Mariners
.477 Rangers

Interesting notes:
-Going into tonight's game, Toronto has an all-time record of 3850-3850.
-If the Blue Jays lose tonight, the Astros will be the only expansion era franchise with a winning record
-The Phillies and Braves are the only franchises with over 11,000 losses
-The Cubs have played the most games (22,406), 38 more than the next club, the Braves
-The Rays have played the fewest games (4,421), 3 fewer than the Diamondbacks
-Of the pre-expansion franchises, the Yankees have played the fewest games at 19,165
-The Reds won their 11,000th game on August 18
-The Red Sox won their 10,000th game on July 5
-The Braves lost their 11,000th game on July 8
-The Twins lost thier 10,000th game on July 1
-The Astros lost their 5,000th game on July 3
-The Mariners lost their 4,000th game on July 27

Great write up. The current divisional iteration is mostly irrelevant for lifetime winning %

The only division better than the current NL Central is the AL East. It is a myth that the Cards play in an "easy" division.
