Why was Noot not told to bunt with 2 on and no out?
He is nothing but a 240 hitter.
For some reason Oli is gaining popularity's but there is something wrong with the Cardinal way.
You’re up by 2 runs but other team is clawing their way back in the game! You need runs.
Lucky Sagasse gets the hit,
Help me understand Oli’s thinking!!!!

He doesn't think clearly. Relies on his handy I pad. I was wondering the same thing during Nootbaar's at bat prior to the little pop fly to left. Nootbaar not going to be part of a winning team.

None of them are. You'd think if you watched the Cards, you'd know that

and, if he is not going to bunt, he should at least not swing at an outside pitch on 2-0 when he needed to pull the ball to RF to at least move the runners over. Instead he hits a weak FO to left.

5 walks and 4 hit batters .. The Cards relievers gave this game gift wrapped in last 2 innings.
If you watched , you know the Cardinals allowed 5 runs in the 8th and 9th with the Brewers getting just 1 double and 3 singles in those two innings combined. That's BAD !
Feel sorry for Sonny Gray tonight . The Brewers offense was stymied thru 7 innings with about 6 hits . This was a Cardinal loss more than a Brewer win tonight. How the Brewers get 0 homeruns , 2 doubles and not that many singles and still score 9 runs is pretty remarkable.

He is nothing more than a spectator when this team is on offense. No strategy, just swing away.
