If he does nothing the entire contract his presence has already paid off for the dodgers. NLCS mvp and world series champ. If he sucks all contract it's just payment for the ws win

He did the post season thing before he signed the contract so if he sucks all of the contract he would have to do it again to justify it

Moe did us right!
Mozeliak inadvertently made a good move by dealing Edman. It was trade or sign. And given the freedom to sign, Mo would've grossly overpaid.
I just wish the trade would've netted more than Fedde and 8 weeks of Pham

Lol..
Mo got us a pitcher who pitched solid for 10 starts in 2024. Instead of trading him and getting something, Mo played stupid and got below replacement value effectively turning a win into a wash.
A smart FO would have recognized it and flipped it into chance at a greater win.

Try not to pass judgement on a player when they’re desperately limping through a year they’re playing through injury.

He’s always been a meh average low on base low ops guy the stolen bases are down but the hitting isn’t surprising he is what he is. He’s also hurt a lot so that’s not surprising either

Sort of true. Regardless I would take him back in a heart beat. He still has a great future.

Tommy Edman should have been the mainstay GG 2b here.
He moonlighted in CF because he was a great athlete and well coached (by his dad) form a young age.
He is fundamentally sound and athletic enough to play whatever position he needed to.
He could have, if needed, played every position on the field.
But 2b is where he should have had his MLB career.
His wrist was destroyed while playing CF.
A company first man, a perfect Cardinal. Not expensive. A total shame we gave him away for virtually nothing.

Totally agree with you, and it’s just another example of Mozo the Clown’s incessant penchant for playing people out of position because he can’t build a proper team. When Edman was at 2B, we were strong up the middle and played a sound defensive game.
