My computer caught a virus on that thread. I thought it was the prudent thing to do. I never even got to read the content.

I consider you a great poster & would never do anything malicious to one of yours (or about 90%) of the other posters threads.

Were you on a desktop or your phone?

Do you have A/V & malware protection?

I'm not doubting you. Rather, I'm curious the depth of your security protocols for this to occur.

I’m guessing the malware was on his end, either browser or OS. No one else seems to have had the issue and there were no links or interactive attachments on the thread.

Pretty bold to have apparently mitigated the threat so quickly only to return to the site again. Have to credit for trying to warn others but the best course would be to immediately notify the SysAdmins from another known safe device.
