Jo Adell named player of the week. Perhaps we shouldn’t give on Walker and Gorman too soon.

He is 6’2, 215 and quick twitch

He's a bad defender. He's not even a 2 WAR player...but it is possibly the bat JW could become

Jo Adell is a great example of what happens when a player is rushed to the big leagues before they’ve demonstrated that they’re prepared.

This is Adell's 6th season in the majors. Are you really willing to wait that long?

Agree. Walker is not the great athlete everyone raves about. He is big, not particularly fast (despite what everyone always says), lumbers around, and is very awkward and duck footed. Hardly the athlete he is cracked up to be.

Look at all of his still photos of his swings. Look at how his body is all awkward and gangly and contorted on nearly every swing. It is clear as day.

His sprint speed is 82nd percentile.

Yeah, yeah all these metrics mean nada.
I mean he hits the ball so hard. His exit velo is phenomenal. His expected average is yada yada.

Excellent analysis on Walker

Jo Adell learned to stay in his hitting zone instead of chasing

Walker chases pitching and until that changes nothing will change for him

Adell is 21st percentile in chase rate.
