We should win half. Brewers are on coast- we will win three there. Two from Reds. One each from giants and Seattle. Two from Cubs. 81-81.

Cards in position to play spoiler role. Taking 2 of 3 from Giants hurt them . (Mets fans had to be cheering for the Redbirds big time after the Sat. night 3-run 9th comeback walk-off .)

No way. Not with that schedule.

On the other hand, a great opportunity to show their grit. Exactly what is needed is a supposed reset.

These games to us don’t matter in standings, but go along way towards individual assessments. I think we show ok.

They do have this weird thing where they play good teams tough and lay down for bad ones. Maybe a tough schedule is the only hope.

I think they’ll show well too, just not well enough to make up 4.5 games.

Oh no. They won’t make that up I doubt. I’m having trouble thinking .500.

I think they will play tough the rest of the way but no they don't make the playoffs. Per Tankathon, the Cards have the toughest schedule the rest of the way. Padres who everyone is chasing as the next to the easiest schedule.

Padres have
Reds 3
Rockies 4
Mets 3
White Sox 3
Brewers 3 and
DBacks 3

Now that's per Tankathon which also shows the Giants with an easy schedule. They have
DBack 6
Dodger 7
Cards 3
Rockies 3
That doesn't look very easy to me

No way they make the playoffs. That said, they have played pretty well against good teams (and then turn around and get handled by the Rockies, or the Pirates).

7/11

Don't see them having the horses to make that push.

79 - 83

Cards would have to pass 4 teams: Mets, Reds, Giants, and Diamondbacks. So my prediction is NO.

Frankly, they’ve surprised me just to be at 0.500 so far, as I predicted an overall 75-87 record.

I can't really remember but I seem to recall my pre-season guess was 78-84.

The Mets are the team to catch, not the Padres.
