Mathews velocity was surprisingly up to 2024 levels from the 2nd inning on in his last start...he must have trusted it more. I hope that continues tonight.

Henderson should put a exclamation point on his System Pitcher of the Year award with a half-way, half-way decent effort tonight.....Braden Davis just tailed off in the end. A good, distant, 2nd place for Davis....might be tied with Mautz, tbh. Davis is no good after 50 pitches, and before then he's a little iffy. Good on Henderson, tip the cap.

part of the Helsley trade. He pitched okay this year for St Lucie and their High A team...Brooklyn, I think?

he was over 11 K/9 with the Mets farm this year....hasn't been anywhere near that in 3 appearances with the Cards
