In all of 2024 Ryan Helsley pitched 66.1 innings, gave up 50 hits and 15 earned runs.
Since traded to the Mets he has pitched 11 innings, given up 19 hits and 14 earned runs.
Incredible.

Why is there so much focus on CT about a player no longer on our team? It is almost as if people are wishing the worse. He is struggling, no doubt. Hopefully he turns it around. Discussing his failures serves no benefit for discussions about our team.

Calm down, hall monitor.
Talking about RH's eyepopping struggles is relevant.

Oh god. Sorry, Mr. Helsley.
Dude was w the mlb team for 6.5 years, was traded 5 weeks ago, and suddenly his name shall not be spoken on CT?
Come on...

His not doing well may not be what many on here want
They want to blame pitching coach
Maybe its the Mets pitching coach not getting it done instead of ours

I get the concept of schadenfreude, but I don't experience it here. I wish he was pitching lights out for the Mets (though they are sill the Pond Scum to me).

Only half of those appearances were against NL east.

I feel bad for him. He was a great closer for a couple years and like being a Cardinal. Hope he turns it around. Too bad he had to fall apart in his upcoming free agency but he will probably find a team to give him a one year deal to see if he can regain his old form

Actually it is very relevant for those of us pondering the question of if the Cardinals should sign him to a one year prove it deal for 2026.

Because it's a remarkable occurrence for a player that this fanbase got to know and love over mutiple years?

Remember in 2017 when we didn't trade Rosenthal and he blew his arm about 2 weeks later... glad they got it right this time!!
