Cardinals are way behind this team.
They have power galore.
That starting pitcher, Morales, man he's good.
Where'd they get these guys?

the Stadium isn't ready for another 2 full seasons. I wonder how many of these A's will be on the team by then?
Who will be traded for new farm pieces? Langeliers? Bleday? Wilson? Kurtz? The A's will sell anything that isn't nailed down....and even then they'll still sell it

I like how they drafted Kurtz instead of "the best overall hitter in the draft". He's been available and dominating all season while we keep waiting and waiting for JJW to "earn" his promotion.
But Duce is probably right long term. The A's will screw it up, sell off before players get too expensive and never capitalize on their talent.

Why do they need to sell off ? Should sell out at least the first couple of years

As was said, they faced the fading Cardinals. This team should be ashamed.

Exactly. The dynamic will change in Las Vegas.

By moving to Las Vegas, they may have more financial flexibility.
We'll see if they are able to generate more interest.
Oakland is a [shirt] hole.

Moving to Vegas might change things for them.
They have a lot of young talent.
Isn't just "They were facing the Cards"

The A's have some impressive young talent, especially offensively. They have been improving, after a rough first half (41-57), they have gone 30-23 in the second half. Their starting pitching, other than Morales, has not been very good. Their pitching staff has allowed 719 runs - 661 earned, both worst in the AL. They have also given up 196 HR, also the most in the AL, only the pitiful Rockies have allowed more in all of MLB. They are currently in last place in the AL West, and that division also has the weak Angels, who have beaten the A's 8 of 10 games this year.
The future looks brighter for the A's, and if they can add some better pitching, and hold on to some of their young players like Kurtz and Wilson, they may succeed. I am not ready to jump on their bandwagon just yet.

They have 2 top 60 LHP in their system. Jamie Arnold at #36 and Gage Jump at #57. They also have the #3 prospect in baseball, Leo DeVries who is at AA and only 18 years old. As mentioned, additional pitching is needed, but this team is ready to go from a farce to a force.
