All things considered injuries included it could have been a lot worse.

This season turned with those three shutout losses in PGH at the beginning of July. Had they played only .500 the last two months, they'd be just a half-game out of the playoffs.
As it is, despite the losing record this month, they lost no ground in the WC 3 race, though they did lose 7 games to first place Milw..

1 great month, one (bleep)-poor month, and three mediocre months. I expect another mediocre month and a finish around .500 (give or take a game or two).
