The ONLY reason guys are even getting a call up and look see are because of injuries. Management has been very clear that this team we got to start the season is the team we will end with. They are not going to shut down Pallante, Mikolas, Gorman or Walker for that matter before the end of the season unless they get injured too. With the looming lockout the off season can go a number of ways, one of which is most of this team coming back and Marmol too. They could do a complete teardown or just a little of this and that. We just don't know. Enjoy where you can and let's see where the off season takes us. Just do not get all upset if nothing happens before game 162 ends.
This team has been managed strictly by finances. They had a team that could possibly sneak in as a WC, but they dismantled the bullpen at the end of July and threw in the towel. To me, they have positioned the team to be sold.
