True story I didn’t see many of their oli is awesome posts thenicon wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 00:33 am I'm not fond of Francona or Marmol. Especially Marmol.
All it takes is for the Cardinals to win 3 straight for these types of threads to surface again. Some folks seem to forget the same team just went 6-7 vs. the Rockies, Marlins, Rays and Pirates. And Marmol was the manager for those games.
I guess "Oli Ball" didn't give them a thrill during that stretch.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 00:57 amTrue story I didn’t see many of their oli is awesome posts thenicon wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 00:33 am I'm not fond of Francona or Marmol. Especially Marmol.

They have a good young pitching staff, we don't.icon wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 00:33 am I'm not fond of Francona or Marmol. Especially Marmol.

So he gets no credit for anything but all the blame. Got it.Red7 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2025 23:22 pm Truth be told, Oli did no better job of handling the bullpen tonight than any other night. Those decisions are not his. Who to use and when to use them were decisions made by the collaborative management group hours before game time. I won’t give him any more credit tonight because it worked than I do blame when it doesn’t.
As far as Francona being the better manager, compare his record as the Phillies manager to Marmol’s with the Cardinals. Moreover, some people thought Francona would suddenly perform miracles in Cincinnati. He hasn’t. The Reds record would be very similar if David Bell was the manager. In addition, Francona once again missed time on the bench with health issues. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s one and done.
God you're pathetic.rockondlouie wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 09:12 am Reds on this date in 2024 before Tito hired:
64 - 72
Reds on this date w/Tito at the helm:
68 - 68
Reds spend little money, can't expect miracles.
+4 game improvement to date after being 6 games over .500 (and a +10 games better at that point than in 2024) before 2 - 8 in their last 10 GP.
Tito is a vastly superior manager to Oli.
