In the organization. I hope he gets a legit chance to show that.

I see Prieto sitting next to crooks on the bench, so he is closest.

And JJ is 847 miles away in Oklahoma City.

So he's not really close at all

Prieto is the kind of good not great players the Cardinals have too many of. He does seem like a good bat that can make contact and get on base. But his defense is just okay and he doesn’t have any power. Nothing wrong with that if you don’t already have 4 or 5 hitters like that and no true middle of the order hitters.

He’s already dreaming big. He needs someone else to latch onto since his hero went down. Shady loves him some mediocrity.

I've never seen him play at the MLB level yet, and based on that, I think they should DFA him immediately.

There have been comparisons to a right handed Jeff Bagwell

They should trade Wetherholt then since we have the next Bagwell up now!

We’ve cornered the market on LH hitters who can’t play multiple positions. That’s versatility.

In such a hurry to crown Prieto as his next obsession he forgets all about the (likely) best hitter in the entire organization. ::crazya::

He only likes mediocre-to-[shirt] type of players and makes them some kind of dark horse obsession for some reason. He never likes actual good players. Pretty sure it’s his troll technique.

I remember him hyoing that burly had a low strikeout rate and that isbthe one thing prieto does well, in that prieto had one of the lowest k rates in the minors. Unfortunately that doesnt always lead to much offense. Prieto doesnt walk much either and mostly hits singles or weak ground or flyouts.
