Crooks and Prieto to the BIGS!!
Hearty Congrats!!!
That explains why Noah Mendlinger was playing SS last night, and J.J. was DH...I think J.J. was scheduled for a day off, but played last minute.
Anyways...here's the fun part....who replaces Crooks at Memphis? Prieto not terribly hard to replace him. But Crooks...Springfield is the lone playoff rep on the farm....do you take the only Catcher of consequence out of Springfield 2 weeks out from the playoffs for the final 3 weeks in AAA? Or do you promote say...Campos from High A for the last 3 weeks in Memphis? Collins and Yerzy aren't the answer fulltime in AAA. Maybe....Carlos Linarez is the promotion? He's more than capable of handling the staff...but he's not had a season of full time AB's ever.
Hmmm.... Bernal, Campos, Linarez, or do nothing and go with Yerzy and Collins? That's my order of who will get promoted to AAA.
I guess, outside chance or Tarlow...but I doubt that.

I guess I should've dug a little harder..... Linarez was promoted....good for him. More AB's, I hope. Good catcher.

Interesting. Looks like they at least care about winning at Springfield, the best team by far in the system. Some big league help will evolve from that group in the next couple of years.

I'd promote Bernal and caveat it with you're coming back for the playoffs.

this game could start pretty soon....Two small storms are splitting Jupiter and Palm Beach area right now...should be done in an hour...no more?
