I hope they build on it.

Bullpen getting experience and building trade value if they choose that route with some of them. Just have to wonder where are the starting pitchers in the system.

They split a home series against a last place team with no one at the ballpark.

Jordan Walker hit one pretty hard. But, yes you are correct. The mighty have fallen.

I would rather the Cards win in general, but I wouldn't get too excited about taking 2 of 4 from one of the worst teams in the majors.
Of course the Cards are ALSO one of the worst teams in the majors.....unfortunately.

The Cards accomplished something today that is quickly becoming a very difficult thing for them to do. There may well be a day soon where the Cards trade places with the last place Pirates. Won’t that be something?

Pittsburgh’s pitching has actually been quite strong lately and from a could/should standpoint the cards with any offense win 3 of 4.

Miko is pitching himself to another contract.
Not here.
But, if he wants it, he can nab a 1yr/2mil deal somewhere.

I’ve given up on this.
For the past 3 seasons, it seems every time they have a great win, the kind of win that can propel a team forward, they end up [defecating] the bed.
This season is lost, just use the remaining games to get looks at guys like Church, Prieto, etc.
Right now the best thing on the horizon is Mozeliak’s last day as a Cardinal employee.

Right.
Nothing to 'build on' this year other than hopefully Walker building on that home run.

There is always something to build on. Anytime younger players perform it is exciting and a good look at the future.
