If it's a rather chronic situation. Apparently, there's another good SS coming along.

Since elite shortstop defense is Winn’s primary ability I don’t tvubn that makes much sense at all. If he was also a plus plus hitter then, sure, move him. But he’s not.

Good point. But if he has a chronic knee issue maybe 3B would be less demanding. But he doesn't really have ideal corner infield power. I hope Wetherholt might.

Being an insurance salesman would probably be much easier on his knee, but it's probably not his best use.

That's lame.

There has been nothing to suggest it’s chronic.

Great analogy. Winn will never have the power to fill third base. His value is in his defense at the premium position of ss.

Posted this on another thread. Maybe should make him the lead on a trade package in offseason?

The Yankees need a SS. We could use Spencer Jones.

He has 3 errors in 450 chances at SS. I would leave him right there . Seems to be his natural position .

Yeah, let's put our best defensive player and put him in a position he has never played.

Take our best value anywhere, his defense at SS, and move it to keep his avg/ below avg bat in the lineup. Solid plan!

Trade the only good everyday player we've developed in years, elite defense at the most important defensive position on the field and count on a guy who hasnt played a day in the majors. As much ad I like Westerholt, that just isnt a good idea. A good idea is to keep really good players.

So is this a Winn thread or a Wetherholt thread? Or do you just have the attention span of a golden retriever?

What evidence is there that suggests this is chronic?
