For absolutely nothing, who is Tobias Myers?

Why can’t the Cards find these guys?

Maybe Bloom can?

The Myers who's pitched for the Brewers this year?

You've got to give to get.

Lol, the guy was "purchased" by the Giants from Cleveland like 8 months after being traded for Caminero. Meaning he was dealt for literately nothing. Then selected off waivers a month later. Then released a month after that.

The guy clearly broke down in 2022. 1-15, 7.82 can fairly be called broken. But before that as a Ray he kept putting up solid numbers when he was among the youngest players in his leagues. He was a solid talent who seemed to be on track for MLB. Cleveland clearly thought so and the Brewers this year and last have shown that was the case.

My point was that to pick up a Caminero a team has to have an asset to ship the other way, and I don't think the Cards did. That's assuming of course that 1)they recognized Caminero's quality and 2)felt he filled a team need.

Not an outlier it's called progression of a young player, something that might be a strange idea to people in St Louis. There was something when he debuted at the end of 2023 about how he was listed at 6-1 157, but actually was closer to 200 because he had undergone some kind of body maturation (he was 19 at the time). Caminero was destined to hit, and destined to hit with power. There was an article in 2023 comparing his surprise advancement that season to the way Pujols went from a nobody to a somebody in 2000. And Interestingly enough, Caminero played under Pujols as a manager last winter during that wild Dominican series where Caminero hit that walkoff HR. Pujols had very high praise. Now in his age 21 season, Caminero sits with 37 homers before the end of August.

And he has B.S., in multiple deals!

-Bloom traded Aldo Ramirez for Kyle Schwarber!

-Bloom sent veteran catcher Christian Vázquez to the Houston Astros in exchange for prospect Wilyer Abreu

-Bloom traded Brandon Workman and Heath Hembree for Nick Pivetta

I told some of my Cleveland friends the day that deal was made that it had the potential to be one of the worst trades that they ever made / make.
