He shares a Red Sox pedegree with Bloom, though not sure if they overlapped at all.
He has won in the playoffs (WS) and he's also been thru successfull worst to first turnarounds
at 63, he's nowhere near too old, and his experience makes his age preferable to anyone under 40.
He's available.

And most importantly, he pitched and coached college ball at my alma mater.

John Farrell, the former manager of the Boston Red Sox, is now a lobster fisherman, according to a CBS Boston report. He captains a 46-foot lobster boat named "Seaweed" and spends his days off the coast of Massachusetts setting and pulling traps.

Per Wikipedia: Since 2018, he has held a scouting position with the Cincinnati Reds.

Now we know who to blame for all those Cincy arms.

Hard to believe he captains s lobster boat. Story sounds fishy to me.

That’s only during the off-season

Seriously, though, I remember Farrell when he had his best season pitching for the Indians. He’s had a solid career both as a pitching coach, and then manager. If it’s n his interest to do so, I’d hire him yesterday.

So he definitely has more credentials since TLR so I'm all in. Of course it takes a competent GM to hire him so I'm not optimistic.

No thanks. Get someone who is aggressive and likable. Some personality would be great.

First this guy is not from the family…

And, mark my words…he would bring new ideas and philosophies to the organization

Completely unacceptable

Anything that veers away from Johnny jackass's ideas would be improvement. Its time for StL to conduct itself like a competent organization.
