Over 30 MLB players on pace to hit 30 HRs
Meanwhile
Burly isn't a 20 HR guy, neither is Noot
Gorman isn't even a 15 HR guy anymore. Neither is Winn, Herrera, Donny, Pages, Pozo etc. Walker and Scott barely hit any. We are 25th in HRs. None of those teams ahead of us in the HR rankings got shutout at Coors.
Willson is the only one with a decent shot to hit 20. And some of y'all want to dump his salary too. Where is the power and RBI hitting going to come from. Its not like the rest of the league doesn't have HR/RBI talent.

Was hopeful for Herrera, but his power looks to have dipped big time. Dont really think he is a 2 hitter, but the trash on the team has left no good options

This team needs a complete overhaul.

Now 26th in HRs.
Even when they won last night, it was 11 singles and 1 isolated double. And in the win the night before, 9 singles and 1 belated HR for icing.
It's hard to score enough very often without those HRs or other XBHs.

Agree. I know I'll be called a fool, but Gorman, Walker and Noot have shown us what they got and it ain't nearly enough. Winn, Donny and WillyC are ok but Donny and WillyC are not the future 2-3 years down the road. Sorry but the offense to me looking into the future right now looks really bad. Major changes are needed.

Yes. Those are the super stars. WillyCon might hit 20...maybe
What's saddest
May not be a starter with an 800 OPS

I agree. It looks really, really bad. The pitching outlook is just as bleak.

Curious...how old is Cal Raleigh? How long did it take for him to get to this place where he's mashin 40+ HRs?

Not to make excuses but they do play at Busch which tends to suppress homeruns somewhat. Plus other ballparks where some of them play that are homerun friendly.

I thought CT hated the 3 outcome style, even though it proves to be the best way to score runs, and thus win games...

They are averaging 0.95 homers a game. In the context of this era that's low, but not that far from the league average of 1.15 a game.
Historically, it is still on the high end for the franchise and generally matches and often exceeds the team rate from 2009 to 2015. It exceeds the team rate in every year from 1882 to 1997 - a span of 115 consecutive years.

Comparing ourselves to average as justification as how we got here. Our goal should be top 10-12 or even top five in the most relevant categories.

Our pitchers pitch in the exact same ballpark. How many home runs have they given up?

I don’t even know, but Nick Kurtz is the same age as JJW.

Right, Busch hurts our bats but our SPs benefit which is why they are all having such great seasons.
