Bloom starts his rebuild this winter big time

No more Mo who would not admit a ‘rebuild’ was necessary.
The fans were not fooled and stayed away.
Bloom’s history with Tampa and Boston shows he will revamp Cardinals development . He already had Cerfolio on board who did fine work with Guardians system.
I expect major changes. Of the current starters, I would say only one or two may be starting in 2027 season. Bloom is going to clean house in his first two years. Gray, Arenado , and Contreras all gone.
By 2027 a new catcher, maybe 3 new outfielders, 2 new infielders,
A pitching rotation of 4 different starters than now.
Yes likely lockout for part of 2027 but when season starts that year,
it will be totally revamped from 2025.
There will be growing pains but I think most fans are ready for major changes. If some fans hate the R word Rebuild so be it.
Even if Bloom doesn’t use the dreaded word , he should say. Yes, there will be major changes !
I am ready.. are you ?

Don’t worry. You and the others here will hate him soon enough.
Most of the frequent posters here are only happy when they are unhappy. They always find a reason to hate the manager and mgmt.

Dan, we can only hope this comes to fruition.
And if it does, and the rebuild is reasonably successful, we should all be asking, “Mr. DeWitt, why didn’t you sack Mozo and do this years ago?” This is still a mystery to me — did DeWitt really think Mozo is doing a good job, or is there some other reason behind keeping Mozo way longer than he should have?

Good vision Dan. My hope is that Bloom can convince those three vets to wave their NTCs. I don’t really care if Gray sticks around. He has value during a rebuild. Nado and WC are taking up roster spots at positions that we need for kids.

not sure you can even give Nado away at this point. the time to deal him was last offseason, and it appears Mo tried to do just that. have no idea what that trade would have looked like, but just to have been able to move on would have been a step in the right direction

I never hated Jocketty and LaRussa. But that was long before I participated in Cards Talk.
I did, however, think Tony overthought his bullpen strategy, bringing in a new pitcher when the previous one was effective. But that’s common for ALL managers now. They thoughtlessly and automatically bring in a lefty to face a lefty and a righty to face a righty. My theory is that “The odds of winning are inversely proportional to the number of relief pitchers you use in a game.” This is because, the more pitchers you use, the more likely you’ll bring in the guy who has a bad day and loses the game for you.
In Tony’s defense, at least he kept his starting pitcher in the game longer if he was still effective. You don’t see much of that now. (Of course, none of our starters are effective, anyway, which gives us little choice.)

Someone's not been taking their meds again.

The fans stayed away because losing tends to do that. Your silliness is overwhelming if you believe that the roster is totally on Mo. Again, Dewitt and comp. decide who is signed and who is traded. They sign off on everything. You're foolish if you think otherwise. I doubt seriously if they trade one of those players. This team needs pitching above all. To get that pitching they're gonna have to sign or trade for it. Most teams don't want to trade really good pitching. You expect miracles from Bloom on a budget. Get ready for disappointment.

Guess Mo’ past winning seasons convinced him to retain him ? Mo gave good sales pitch. After all, Mo flew to California to meet with Arenado selling Nado not to opt out as he was going to better the team around Nolan. Arenado bought in and did not opt out.
So maybe Mo is better salesman than we realize .

Believe whatever you have to, but the Dewitts and Mozeliak ran this org into the dirt, the dislike for them is warranted

No where did I express how good or bad the team will be in 2027.
What I did say is that I expect major changes in the roster in the next 2 years . That most of the current guys won’t be the starters in 2027. I do not expect any miracles nor intimated that in my post.

I can’t speak for others but I have never hated on a Cardinals manager (the issues are far deeper than a manager issue. With that said, what part of the criticism has DeWitt and Mo not earned? Very curious why you feel they have not completely failed the players, on field staff and fanbase.
