Whose decision is it to play short handed? Mo or Oli? We have the worst bench to begin with and now they play 2 short against the Yankees? Donavans been banged up for months, but he wants to play,so what? Take a week to get healed up,for crying out loud...

At this point he could take a month. We know what Donovan brings. Put him and Arenado on IL for the year and let the others play. Donovan's spot on the team is locked in for next year (barring the crazy change of a big trade)

What about playing today if Scott is out. Winn not at his best. Cant play that short. Donovan should have went on IL. Maybe Contreras also. I know Memphis doesn't have much that's on the 40 man roster.

If they don't have Scott available today, they will have a bench of exactly one position player if Contreras and Donovan cannot play. It would cement John Mozeliak's legacy as a total dipstick if he does not get some healthy players from Memphis up here PRONTO, regardless of his precious 40 man excuses.

Yet another thing we won't miss in a few weeks.

Maybe another pitcher too. With 4 inning Mikolas pitching today
Watch him go 7 after I said this

I'd trade Hurdy Gurdy. He's not a player you build around, oft injured, arb eligible and will be 29. Cards win or lose with or without him.

I agree, shut him down along with Nado. But replace them on the roster. It's a detriment to the team to continuously play short handed. I also put WillyCon on a retroactive IL stint and bring another player up.

3 players unavailable. That's just horrible management

Church, Antico, Crooks, JJ, Fermin, Koperniak...I stated JJ should have been on the team at the start of the season. 8O

This team played short handed from the start of the season.

Fermin, Koperniak and Siani are are currently on the 40 man roster. Why not bring up Siani to replace Scott and Fermin to replace Donovan? To make room for JJ , the Cardinals would have to make a move to release a player from the 40 man roster. I really don't understand how Hampston stays on the big league roster when Fermin remains in Memphis.

Donovan has injured his foot and groin within the past week. This season is gone and he is one of their better players. I have no idea why he hasn't been placed on the 10-day with a guy like Fermin called up. I get Mo is a lame duck but there is still work to do this season.

The league will be shaking in fear if we bring up Siani and Fermin. :)

is Siani any better than Hampson? and for the Hampson vs Fermin dealio, with the little bit of playing time they'd get, Hampson makes for the better PR'er

When you are a player, you are not in it to have a career as a MiLB player.
The thought is to reward performance. Fermin has had himself a season that should
be rewarded. He did nothing that he should have been sent back down for either.

Reward production, IMO.

We don't have 40 on the roster
If we did many could be released and not hurt
