The Cardinals as a Wrecked Car

Good morning.
Gotta good buzz. Early black coffee. Here’s a fun one. We all can relate.
The Cardinals are a wrecked car. What estimate would you give them. You cannot use totaled, as they are not that. Be more creative.
Me. Front bumper is dented in. This is from bumping into teams ahead of us when we get hot. Hood is dented in some, but radiator is fine. If we could ever get in front and get some clean air, we could prevent this.
It’s a four door. There are numerous dents and bangs on both sides. This is from jostling in the standings with the competition. Like a nascar in the middle of a large pack. Bump and grind.
The trunk. Dented in. From teams behind us as we stop and go so often. We win one , lose two. Created rubber necking and rear end bang ups.
Tires. Need air. Still rolling, but need air.
Engine. Needs a tune up, and annual services.
Windshield has a crack or two, seems to prevent us from seeing where we are going at times.
There. My best George Carlin attempt.

That’s strong. I had them on low tires. Still trudging forwards. Then I thought. Maybe they are low on fuel too?

Well, you have to keep in mind that I had them winning 72 games in the preseason thread. I don't see them doing much better than that now.

Two flat tires and only one spar in the trunk,
limping along till they can get to a gas station.

Oh yea. You’re talking about a crawl then. 72 isn’t far off. I had 81.

That would put them immobile. They are not that yet. Maybe they are over heating. Water pump.

The car can't be fixed because Dewitt let the insurance policy lapse...

No
You can limp along on two tires just as the sub .500 Cardinals are now limping along, of course you'll also be buying new rims.

True. Seems you would go out and “buy” another tire, change it, then put the spare on, and drive on.
