They'll protect Hjerpe...mainly b/c they never admit a mistake in the 1st round, and some in the upper brass will believe he still has a chance to be effective at the major league level, though that can't happen until 2027 at the earliest.

Between Hansen, Mautz, Rajcic and Winquest....we're likely saying goodbye to two of them. Trent Baker was selected in the Rule 5 last December. Those 4 are better than him.

I have feeling we're saying good-bye to Siani, Hampson, Koperniak, Pozo (or Pages, not both...maybe with a trade?), Roycroft, Veneziano (not impressed with the few appearances in AAA), Munoz, King, Fernandez, Alcala.... What do we do with Thompson, Robberse, Fermin, Hence, Graceffo?

5 new draft picks in the lineup, and Van Dyke is a new draft pick as well. Not sold on Miura leading off yet...but it's been a SSS, so I'll give it a bit longer.

No rain in the forecast, do Van Dyke can possibly go more than 2 IP this time out. He was Closer in college, solely a closer....so I'm not sure how long the Brass will let him go.

He went 2 IP before the rain delayed his debut last week.

I hope Cade continues to Win his Quests in AA. Unexpected surprise indeed.
